Smoothies & Snacks
Tuesday, June 12, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
The 3 great S’s of July: summer, smoothies, and snacks. Join Chef Susan Maddox and explore some of the great flavors, tastes, and textures of summertime. This is a tasty interactive program where you’ll learn some great snack ideas as well as smoothie recipes to have all summer long. Join us for a great afternoon enjoying some new culinary ideas! Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Rubik’s Cube Workshop
Friday, June 15, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Beginner and experienced cubers can learn get tips and tricks for solving a Rubik’s Cube with Cube expert Brandon Joerges. Cubes will be provided. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Pizza & Gelato
Tuesday, June 19, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Immerse yourself in Italian cuisine and music while you learn to make Italy’s most superb food – pizza and gelato – under the expert guidance of Camay Phinney. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Art Rocks!
Thursday, June 21, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Use paint or markers to add inspirational quotes and mandalas onto rocks to create one-of-a-kind works of art with artist Marisa Choate. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Zen Rock Gardens
Monday, June 25, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Using simple, natural materials, create a Zen garden designed to calm your wired mind. Keep it 100% natural or paint your own meaningful designs on the river rocks we’ll provide. We’ll also learn about stacking stones as a meditation technique. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi (PG-13)
Wednesday, June 27, 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Rey learns the ways of the Force from Luke Skywalker, and develops a telepathic bond with Kylo Ren, who is struggling to master the Dark Side. Meanwhile, Stormtrooper-turned-Resistance fighter Finn goes on a risky mission behind enemy lines. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Paint to the Rhythm
Tuesday, July 3, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Join us for this fun art program and get into the creative groove of abstract painting. Artist Christine Thornton will teach techniques for painting to the rhythm of music using watercolor pencils. You’ll leave with a small finished painting. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
TnT Paranormal Investigators: Paranormal 101
Monday, July 9, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Join us as we discuss methods used to find answers and investigate evidence of any alleged cases of paranormal or unexplained activity. Learn about types of hauntings, tools of the trade, and more. The discussion will include methods for gathering data during an investigation, how the data is reviewed to determine if any paranormal evidence was captured, or if these experiences are natural/environmental, man-made, or indeed paranormal. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Cupcake Battle
Wednesday, July 11, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Transform plain cupcakes into music-themed masterpieces for this cupcake battle. Participants will judge each other’s creations for creativity, presentation, and use of the music theme. Everyone will go home with treats. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Arduino Basics
Friday, July 13, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform intended for anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments. This class gives teens the chance to experiment with electronic circuits and programming. No previous experience required! Please bring a laptop if possible. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Black Panther (PG-13)
Tuesday, July 17, 2:00 – 4:15 p.m.
After the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, T’Challa returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to take his rightful place as king – and as Black Panther. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
Arduino Music
Friday, July 20, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Make electronic music with Arduino! Use circuits and simple code to make an interactive musical instrument. No previous experience is required, but attendance at Arduino Basics on July 13 is recommended. Please bring a laptop if possible. Grades 7-12. Registration required.
