Book Review: Allegiant by Veronica Roth

AllegiantWhat can I even say about this book without spoiling the end of the series? Well, first of all, if you’re still catching up with Divergent and Insurgent, don’t read this review at all!

Now that Tobias’ factionless mother Evelyn has taken over the city, a resistance has formed. They believe in factions for those who wish to remain within them, and they believe in the Divergent. They want the Divergent to fulfill the mission they saw when Tris showed the video of her ancestor, who claimed that the Divergent were needed to save the world outside the city. But save it from what?

Tris and Tobias, who you know have never shied away from a fight, accept help from the resistance, called the Allegiant, and face their destiny outside the city walls. But they never could have imagined what they’d find.

So…that takes you only through the very first part of the book, because seriously I don’t want to say anything that will take away from all the surprising (even shocking) things that happen.

To me, this is a series about human nature, and I’ll just say that as a fan, I felt that the characters were true to who they were, and that made the end of the series a satisfying one for me. They all proved that Divergence is the truth of who people are, that we’ve all got the capacity to be brave, selfless, intelligent, peaceful, and honest.

What did you think about the end of the series? Comment me!
