The 2010 list of the 10 most frequently challenged books in libraries was just released and out of the 10, seven are teen books.  We have six of those seven here in the library’s young adult section, so check out a challenged book and celebrate your freedom to read.  Or, hey, don’t check one out, and celebrate your freedom to read something else!

2010 Most Frequently Challenged Books (Teen Titles):
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
Crank by Ellen Hopkins
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Lush by Natasha Friend
What My Mother Doesn’t Know by Sonya Sones
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
