What’s Happening This Fall?

Summer may be over, but library events for teens continue throughout the year!  Check out what’s coming up this fall for teens.  Most events require registration, so go to the library’s Calendar of Events to register.

Bottle Cap Magnets
Friday, September 17, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Make magnets perfect for your school locker. Use our supplies or bring photos to magnetize. Registration required.

Caramel Apple Creations
Friday, October 8, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Try the sweet, delicious fall treat that’s easy to make yourself! Registration required.

Start Early – Start Smart: College Major and Career Planning (A Program for Parents & Teens)
Tuesday, October 12, 7:00 p.m.
Find out how identifying a college major and career direction can build motivation while reducing college expenses. Career Vision will provide the resources you need to help take the stress out of these important decisions. Registration required.  This program is for parents of high school students; students are also welcome to attend.

Teen Read Week
October 17-23
Check out the library’s display case and find a new favorite book during Teen Read Week.

Pumpkin Carving
Friday, October 29, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Carve your own scary, spooky, or funny Jack-O-Lantern just in time for Halloween. Registration required.

Iron Chef
Friday, November 19, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Create a delicious, unique dish using our secret ingredients and you could be the library’s Iron Chef! Registration required. Six registrations are required by November 17 for this program to be presented.

National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo)
November 1 -31

    Katie, next year you should also go to Comic-com! You could rock a Graphic novel costume!
