Bleach T-Shirts

July 1, 2010 at 8:14 pm 2 comments

Our Bleach T-Shirt event turned out great!  There were some amazing shirts made.  A few people asked what the spray solution was, and it was a simple 50/50 water/bleach solution.  Just don’t spray too much or saturate the paper design!  We learned that the hard way on a few shirts.

Make sure to thoroughly rinse the shirt right away, and it’s a good idea to throw it in your washing machine (by itself) soon after making the shirt.   If you make a shirt at home, wear it into the library and let me know what technique worked for you!

Awesome shirts! I’m doing this craft with my teens in about a week and a half, and am feeling inspired by the terrific designs your group came up with.
