Going Green

Well, Earth Day’s over, but green thinking continues!  This summer, the theme for our young adult summer reading club will be “Teens Going Green.”

We’ll still offer prizes and incentives throughout the program, but many will have a green spin.  Also, we’ll be offering tons of events featuring the green theme, including creative projects made from recycled materials, movies with a green twist, and a “Going Green” digital photography contest.

This year, summer reading is from June 8 to July 18, and if you will be going into grade 7 – 12, you’re invited to join the teen summer reading club.  I’m still planning the events, but I’ll post more as I finalize them.  If you have an idea for a great green event, comment me!
