Guys do, too

So many books and TV movies talk about girls who have eating disorders, but did you know that over one million guys suffer from eating disorders, too?

In the new book Nothing by Robin Friedman, the pressures of family, school achievement, and getting into college get to be too much for Parker and he becomes bulimic, secretly  binging and purging as a way to get control over his life.

Parker’s sister Danielle is the only one who gradually realizes something’s wrong, but her poetry reveals her own insecurities and the reasons why she doesn’t tell anyone about her suspicions.

This intense story will keep you turning the pages to find out Parker’s fate.  Can he reach out before it’s too late?  Will he ever be able to manage his bulimia?

Check out the book, under YA FIC FRIEDMAN.  If you read it and see someone you know in Parker, try for information and support.
