Homework Help
The library subscribes to resources that can help you finish your papers and projects quickly and accurately. There are lots of ways you can access homework help from your home computer.
For biographical information, timelines, atlases, country comparisions and general research, go to Encyclopedia Britannica. You can even make your own custom charts to compare information. Your password is your library card number.
For newspaper, magazine and journal articles for research papers, try the Ebsco Student Research Center. Call the library for password information – we have to make sure you’re a Winfield Library patron, so I can’t just post the password on the internet!
If you have to write a paper about a social issue, like abortion, cloning, global warming, or another controversial issue, SIRS Knowledge Source is perfect for you. Again, just a quick call to the library will get you the password information if you have a library card.
Of course, that’s just the beginning of what these sites can do. The library also has links to other great resources, so visit our Research and Databases page to get started.
If you have a great research tool you use at school that you think I should know about, let me know!
